I am so happy to be back with all of you. I have had so much going on in my life over the last 6-9 months or so. We sold our house, moved into a rental house, built a house, moved into the new house, went on a vacation to the beach a few days later and then one week after attended Haven Conference 2013. Whew! I am exhausted just typing that much less having lived through it. I know people do that sort of thing all the time but for me, spending time with my young children is of the utmost importance. It has been a challenge to be so hands on with the building, moving twice, painting furniture to sell at my booth, etc. to focus on blogging. So now that things are settling a little, I am back at it. Haven Conference was a great place to start and kick me into gear. I have so much to share with you on building our house and lots of furniture that I have worked on during my “free” time. Thank you for bearing with me. Now on to my recap of the Haven Conference. I went to Haven Conference last year and was overwhelmed with the talent and blogging skills of so many of the attendees. I decided I wanted to blog like that one day. I finally got my blog designed and have been trying to navigate WordPress and the blog world. This year was a little different for me at Haven. I actually felt like I knew the questions I wanted to ask and the direction I wanted my blog to go. Basically, I don’t want to be like anyone else. I want to share what I want when I want. After all this is my blog right? I felt like I got so carried away with getting my blog just right this past year that I didn’t really share too much. There were so many people at Haven who just encouraged me to be who I am and not try to do what others were doing. The conference started out with a Welcome Reception at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead in Atlanta, GA. This is where I saw some familiar faces from last year. It’s always nice to walk into a room and know people. I saw and caught up with Cindy of Daisies and Crazies and Susan of Living Rich on Less. I loved meeting some of the talented, helpful and awesome bloggers. I attended blogging classes and lots of DIY classes. I love that this conference encompasses both blogging and hands on classes. I really would have loved to have gone to ALL the classes. I will share more on the classes and awesome sponsors in another post. As for now, here are some additional photos of the fun that was had by all! Me and the Shanty 2 Chic girls. Love them! They are the sweetest sisters! It was great seeing Karah again from The Space Between Blog. Pardon this picture. It was the end of the very last day and we all were a little tired!
I also meet Pamela at Haven 2012 and loved catching up with her this year. She is super sweet, a great mom, DIYer and beautiful! Great to see you again Pamela. Check out her blog over at PB & J Stories.
And last but not least. Me and Jessica from Decor Adventures. Again please excuse the end of the last day uglies on me! Jessica you look great!
I will be back with more details on sponsors and classes as I use my skills and products.
Have a fabulous day!

Well, I subscribe to the “better late than never” school of thought. 😉 I wish I got to hug your skinny body more often than once per year! xo
