The Marble Master Bath
The Master Bath is the most exciting bathroom redo of the flip. As you have seen, it is a totally new space made from the old Master Bedroom. Here is the post from before of the old Master Bedroom that is now the Master Bath. The Master Bath is now being transformed into a true retreat for the new owner. The Tile is going in and it is going to be a Carrara marble masterpiece. Most people who do flips use basic builder grade materials and try to cut corners. I didn’t want to do that and didn’t do that. I always said when I do a house, I want to do one I would be proud to live in. I really could actually live in this bathroom. I mean I love it so much I almost threw myself on the floor and kissed it. It is soooo fabulous! Marble is such a timeless stone and not a cheap one! Haha! I definitely think the expense of this bathroom was worth it. So are you ready to see the designs in the shower and the floor?
This is the Master Shower going in. I used polished Carrara marble in a brick horizontal pattern. You can see the area in the wall where the niche will be going in. Light and bright and beautiful.
Here is a closer look at the shower. The 2 darker gray pieces on the right were actually removed and traded out with lighter ones. I thought they looked too dark so I had them switched. It’s those little details that I take pride in.
The niche got a matte glass background. Everything just flows well in this bath.
The shower floor is made up of honed Carrara hexagon marble. It is fabulous!!
The Floor is going in and has a great pattern using honed Carrara marble.
Here is a closer view of the floor pattern. They are 4 x 4 square tiles surrounding 12 x 12 tiles. It really breaks up straight 12 x 12 tiles.
Now a great overall view of the bathroom. Looking good.
I will post updates of the cabinets, tub and plumbing fixtures in another post. Thank you for following the updates. I hope you are enjoying them.

This bathroom is gorgeous! I can’t wait to see the finished product! The marble shower tiles are so pretty. We have the same pinwheel tile pattern in our house (13″ and 20″ tiles) and it definitely breaks up the tile instead of just rows. Thanks for linking up to the Thursday S.T.Y.L.E. Link Party! We hope to see you back again on Thursday night!

Thank you for the compliments! I will definitely link up again!

Beautiful! We are about to put in the carerra marble hexagon tiles in our shower floor just like yours. My contractor has conflicting reports on the type of grout to use. The urethane and epoxy grouts are good with the water but can stain the tile. Yet the cementitious grout can allow the water to penetrates what did you use? And did you use a silver grey or a white? Any information would be greatly appreciated! Everyone is warning me against Carrera and I really want to use it!
